Day 1: Lotsa importing


Today was the first day of the jam!  Woo! Today was mostly importing systems for animation and physics from my main project so I have a good solid baseline to work with. My main project is a Mario fangame and this is (hopefully) going to be a Kirbylike so while I can keep a lot of the basic basic platformer elements I'm still having to do a lot of custom work for things like melee attacks and enemy AI.

Besides that there was a lot of spriting.  I'm really happy with the way my main character Goomi came out. Here is the evolution of her design included in the blog post.

I also included prototypes for all her powers with the old design.  Still need to update them to the finished design tbh.
